Matthew 4:23 - 24 Healing Scriptures

Matthew 4:23 - 24
Matthew 4:23 - 24 "And He went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news (Gospel) of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every weakness and infirmity among the people. So the report of Him spread throughout all Syria, and they brought Him all who were sick, those afflicted with various diseases and torments, those under the power of demons, and epileptics, and paralyzed people, and He HEALED them."
My thoughts; Jesus taught the Word of God, and He healed people along the way. Note, Jesus healed every disease, weakness, and infirmity that the people had. He didn’t say, “Wait, I’ve never seen this kind of disease before. I don’t know how to heal that. You’ll have to wait.” No, Jesus healed everyone and the good news is, he still heals today. Can you imagine being sick during those times when Jesus walked the earth and having to walk or have someone carry you across the country just to have Jesus heal you? That is dedication and devotion.
Jesus can meet us right where we are at this moment. He is just waiting for you to come to Him, believe in Him and in the fact that God can, will and still does heal. It is not always right away, but He will if you continue to praise and believe in Him.

Luke 1:37 Healing Scripture

Luke 1:37

37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

My thoughts: In these seven words, we learn that nothing is impossible with God. It doesn’t matter how complicated your sickness or situation is, God can handle it. It is just as easy for God to heal a cut, as it is to heal cancer. God made your body, the world, and everything in it. Why do we think that sickness is beyond Him. Just as you would take pills that the doctor gives you, take God’s word every day. You can never get too much of His Word, and it will never cause more problems in your body. Man’s medicine often causes more problems then it cures. You can overdose on man’s medicine, and it can kill you. God’s Word is powerful, and life. There are Bible accounts of God healing so many people. Nothing was or is too hard. He healed the blind, lame, people with leprosy. He never once turned someone away, saying that he didn’t know what to do or how to heal them. It’s time to turn back to God and His Word. He’s just waiting for you to ask Him, believe in Him, and stand strong until healing comes.

Isaiah 53:3-5 Healing Scripture

Isaiah 53:3-5

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

My thoughts: These Bible verses foretell what Jesus’ death on the cross will accomplish for us. Transgressions are the sins we commit, breaking God’s law. I looked up the word iniquities to see what it really meant. Iniquities are sins that are committed repeatedly until it becomes a habit. This can include sins like stealing, lying, using drugs or always being drunk. But look at the last part of verse 5. It says that with his stripes, we are healed. Every stripe that Jesus took was for us, for our healing. It doesn’t say we’ll be healed when we die, or if we’re good enough. It doesn’t even say that we might be healed if God has the time. It states quite clearly that we are healed. Jesus took all that upon Himself for everyone so we could have fellowship with the Father, be forgiven, saved, healed, and have peace. So as you pray for healing, envision the stripes given to our Savior being your sickness. Remind the devil that Jesus already took your sickness and you’re not taking it back. Tell God what His word says in the bible because there is a verse that tells us that God’s word will not return to Him void.

Isaiah 41:10 Healing Scripture

Isaiah 41:10

10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

My thoughts: No matter what comes against you or me, God tells us not to fear or be dismayed. I know fear is a very strong emotion.  You can feel it flood into your being when bad news is delivered from a doctor, friend or your boss. Perhaps you have had your life threatened.

Be not dismayed. Another strong emotion that seems to come along more often, especially as you grow older. Perhaps you have lost your job, and you don't know where your next dollar is going to come from or how you will survive. Maybe you can't make your car payment or house payment. This can be especially troubling if you have a family to support.  Or maybe it's circumstances that seem threatening and have you feeling bad. God gives those two words, fear not.

Why shouldn't we allow fear or dismay come into our lives? Because it robs us of our health, happiness and peace.  God promises us several things in that one verse. He said that He is God. He will strengthen us so we can get through the trials. He will help us, and He will uphold us with his right hand of righteousness.  So, the next time the devil throws junk your way, and you feel those emotions beginning to erupt in your body. Remember God's promises.

Hebrews 13:6-8 Healing Scripture

Hebrews 13:6-8

So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

My thoughts: Even though everything in the world changes, isn’t is nice to know that Jesus never does. What Jesus did, taught, and believed when he walked the earth, stays the same. He still wants His people healed, to love one another, to be saved, to forgive, and to be forgiven.

In verse 6, we have the reminder that the Lord is our helper. He will help us through the hard times and rejoice with us in the good times. Even though man comes at us with evil intent, we don’t have to fear. If the Lord, God, and His angels are for us, those against us don’t stand a chance.
