2 Corinthians 10:3-6
New King James Version (NKJV)
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting
down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the
knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience
of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
My thoughts: Sickness is from the devil. So, although we cannot see the devil, he makes us aware that he is around by his destructive ways. Anything against God's word, whether it is sickness, disease, drugs, alcoholism or fires that destroy your house. . . If it is bad, it's from the devil.
I admit that we can feel like God has left us alone, but He has not. We can be sure that God will protect us, and heal us if we obey His commandments and call on the name of Jesus. The devil is a fallen angel, and he wants nothing better than to bring you down to his level. But he is not strong enough to take on God, because he knows that God is the great El Shaddai (Lord God Almighty) and El Elyon (The Most High God). Nothing can withstand the power of our God.
